Welcome to the Ephrata Area School District Early Childhood Education website!

We fully believe that high-quality early childhood education is one of the best investments we can offer to our community. We are expanding our early childhood initiatives.  Early childhood activities can have lasting impact on the brain development of young children.

We hope that you will enjoy the activities available on this website. As you progress through the activities with your early learner, know that you are contributing to his or her future success at school and are helping to build the foundation for early reading skills. We also encourage you to participate in the early childhood programs that the District is offering for pre-school children and their parents/guardians to help them better prepare for a smooth transition into the Kindergarten classroom.

Remember, reading to your child as little as 10 minutes each day can strengthen your child’s readiness for kindergarten! Please reach every child and inspire dreams by reading.  We look forward to the day your children become part of our district.
