Awards
- Ephrata Area School District has been named one of the 100 Best Communities for Music Education
in the nation for 2005, 2008 and 2010 by the National Association of Music Merchants.
- Our students are actively involved in LLMEA and PMEA sponsored festivals,
where participation is earned through a rigorous audition process.
- Our bands have consistently ranked high in adjudications through the Music in the Parks Festival.
- Our high school and middle school ensembles performed at the State Capitol as part of the
Music in Our Schools Month in March 2009.
- In 1991, our Elementary Band was a featured performing group at the PMEA Conference.
- In 1999, our High School String Quartet was a featured performing group at the PMEA Conference.
- In 2007, our High School Orchestra did a tour of London with plans to do a similar trip in 2011.
- In 2009, our Elementary Band was awarded recognition by the
Band Brilliance Publishing Company through a national competition.
