The Showcase of Bands: A Must See Event!

The Ephrata High School Marching Unit and the Ephrata Band Parents’ Association would like to invite you to attend their annual “Showcase of Bands” Competition on October 31, 2009. The Showcase of Bands will be held at the Ephrata High School War Memorial Stadium, with the gates opening at 12:00 pm. The first band performance of the competition will begin at 1:00 pm. The awards ceremony will be at 4:15 pm.

While there has been a two year break in Ephrata hosting a High School Marching Band competition, EHS has a well deserved reputation for hosting an excellent competition, and this year should provide proof that the Showcase of Bands is a “must-see” event! There will be eight High School Marching Bands participating in the competition, as well as exhibition performances from the Ephrata High School Marching Unit and the Millersville University Marching Band. This year’s competing High School Marching Bands include: Bermudian Springs, Columbia, Lebanon Catholic, Pottsgrove, Halifax, Blue Mountain, Sun Valley, Penn Manor and Hempfield.

The EHSMU and Ephrata Band Parent Association invites all students, staff, and family members to come out and enjoy the show. Tickets are $8.00 at the gate for adults; $4.00 for students and seniors.
