Good morning Ephrata! Today is Wednesday, February 22, and it is an A day.

Technical training will pay off for you in the future. If you want to be trained in a fast growing technical career field for employment after high school there are many exciting opportunities available for juniors and seniors at the Lancaster County CTC next year in Heating/Venting/Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Painting, Vinyl and Ceramic Flooring, Medical Administrative Assistant, and others. Please see your school counselor today to get more information about open programs and an application for CTC.

This is a reminder to Aevidum members that your money for your T-shirts is due no later than next Tuesday!

The new counselor bulletin is now available in the guidance office. It is also posted in student homerooms and on the guidance website.

Attention Members of the Mountaineer Staff: Today is our regular meeting in Mr. Bischoff’s room. The meeting will be brief, but please make every effort to attend.

A REMINDER TO ALL AP STUDENTS:  Students need to complete an AP Exam Order Form, which is available in your AP class or in the guidance office. The cost is $13.00 per exam and the deadline for ordering is March 2. Checks should be made out to the Ephrata High School. Please bring your check and order form to the guidance office.

It’s national FFA week. How’d we do on our blue and gold? The FFA corduroy jacket you may recognize from the movie Napoleon Dynamite was accepted as a part of official dress for members back in 1933. The colors were established in 1929, only one year after the organization was founded.

Now for our ag trivia. Did you know, it takes just 40 days for most Americans to earn enough money to pay for their food supply for the whole year? It takes 129 days for the average American to earn enough money to pay his or her federal, state, and local taxes for the year.

Starting this week EHS will have Mr. Shorts for Behind the Wheel driving on Tuesdays AND WEDNESDAYS. Drivers are needed to fill the Wednesday schedule. If you have your permit and are interested in completing the 6 hour instruction BEFORE school is out in June see Mrs. Ditzler in the high school main office for more information.

Attention, Quiz Bowl members who have confirmed their participation in the Conestoga Valley tournament scheduled for this Saturday! Please stop by Room 125 sometime today to pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Kauffman. Also, Quiz Bowl practice this Friday will start at 2:45 instead of 3:00. That's 2:45 in Room 116!

Thanks for watching and have a great day!
