Ephrata’s science curriculum continues its tradition of engaging students in active learning. The science program provides students with depth and breadth of scientific knowledge and skills through a sequence of studies. While the diagram below indicates the typical movement from one grade and course to another; exceptions to the flow sequence may occur based on teacher recommendation and student performance in a course. Honors courses place the highest emphasis on rigor and mastery of the sciences. Students in these courses are highly motivated and hard-working learners capable of independent study.
