The night began with a welcome and introduction from high school principal, Mrs. Joane Eby. In the auditorium the parents also heard some brief remarks from guidance counselor Kerri Batdorf who will move from the middle school to the high school next year with the class. She gave a brief overview of how the daily high school schedule works and explained the process for movement through the classes during the evening.
From there the parents ventured out to the classrooms. Divided into six groups, the parents rotated between sets of teachers who each gave a brief summary of the various courses available for the incoming freshman.
The night concluded with some light refreshments in the cafeteria. There the parents were able to ask more in depth questions of the high school staff before heading home.
