Thanks to a partnership with Michener’s Engraving, Inc. and Douple Agency, Inc., Ephrata High School recently awarded 15 Achievement Medallion Awards. The Achievement Medallion Awards recognize students who stand apart, succeed despite unique circumstances, or contribute in some special way to Ephrata High School. Teachers shared many positive traits about the students they nominated.
- “I am not sure that English, specifically writing, is his favorite subject, but he always tries his best. He is always prepared, and he does a nice job of planning ahead for long-term projects.”
- “She works hard, especially in areas in which she knows she struggles, striving to do her best on all assignments, quizzes, and tests. Her positive attitude and constant smile make her a joy to have in class.”
- “It will be a pleasure to see this young man continue to grow and mature over the next four years with us at Ephrata High School. He exhibits the promise to become one of our model citizens that will succeed as a future adult in the Ephrata community and beyond.”
Teachers are encouraged to nominate students who have demonstrated significant academic improvement, exemplary attitude and behavior, and/or outstanding participation or effort in an individual, group, or class activity. This is the sixth year the Achievement Medallions have been awarded to Ephrata High School students. The program was also expanded by Michener’s Engraving, Inc. and Douple Agency, Inc. this year to recognize Cocalico High School students at a separate ceremony.
