Spring Blood Drive helps to save lives

On Monday, May 16, Ephrata High School Student Council sponsored their annual Spring Blood Drive. Students and faculty were given the opportunity to help save lives by donating blood to the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank. More than 60 units of blood were drawn, which could save more than 180 lives. Student Council hosts three blood drives a year. Throughout the 2010-2011 school year, Ephrata High School students and staff donated approximately 200 units of blood, which could save more than 600 lives. One in four donors in Central Pennsylvania is a student.
