Cloister FFA Members Attend National Convention

Over 56,000 people attended the 2010 National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, including eight Cloister FFA members from Ephrata High School. While at the convention, FFA members participated in general sessions, competitive events, a career show, volunteer activities, leadership activities, educational tours, and more.

In addition to participating in convention activities, Cloister FFA members also had the opportunity to tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, visit a career show, and volunteer doing site cleanup for a camp that provides residential summer camp, leadership development, and outdoor adventure education for youth in need.

Four members of Cloister FFA received FFA American Degrees at the convention. The degree is the highest degree a member can obtain in FFA. Fifty-four FFA members in Pennsylvania received the award in 2010. Cloister FFA recipients included Class of 2008 graduates Joshua Ackley, Stephanie Kauffman, Barry Saylor Jr., and William (Billy) Saylor.
