When there is a two-hour delay and most of us get to sleep in and wait for the roads to get better, they've already been at school for hours shoveling sidewalks and plowing parking lots. When it is snowing during the school day and most of us get to enjoy the wintery scenery from the comfort of our rooms, they are outside in the elements salting the sidewalks so we don't slip on our way out.
"They" are the custodian and the maintenance staffs. At each of Ephrata's schools they do a great job each time there is a snow event. Obviously, they are busy today, so if you can, be sure to thank them before you head home. We all appreciate the job they do.
