The art department focuses on taking the learner to higher level creative thinking.  The curriculum includes art history, art criticism/aesthetics, and production.  Careers in the arts are discussed as well as the impact they have on society.  Works are built on the elements and principals of design and often incorporate visual literacy and/or mathematical applications.
